The Supreme
Court of Canada was located in various rooms
in the Parliament Buildings until 1882 when it moved to its own building at
the foot of Parliament Hill on Bank Street. It would be another 64 years until
it took possession of its current location, after World War II, in 1946.

Currently, more than 2,000 Canadians are serving on over 200 Crown corporations, agencies, boards and commissions across the country. Through strong leadership, experience and expertise, they are contributing to areas as diverse as polar research, environmental protection, the arts, trade and international development.
